This weekend, Google is giving everyone a chance to try out Veo 3, its powerful AI video creation platform, for free. The announcement came directly from CEO Sundar Pichai, who encouraged users to explore the tool’s creative features without needing a paid subscription.

Normally, Veo 3 is part of Google’s AI Pro plan on the Gemini app, which costs ₹1,999/month in India. While new users usually get a one-month free trial, this is the first time Google has made Veo 3 available to all users, regardless of their subscription status.

Pichai explained that the goal is to make creative tools more accessible and let people experience what Veo 3 can do. It’s also a smart move by Google to showcase the platform’s capabilities to a wider audience.

First introduced at Google I/O 2025, Veo 3 is Google’s most advanced video model yet. It can generate not just visuals, but also synchronized audio—including dialogue, music, sound effects, and ambient sounds. Google describes it as a creative all-in-one tool, ideal for making animated videos, cinematic scenes, storyboards, or even game cutscenes.

Currently, Veo 3 works with text prompts, but support for image-based prompts is coming soon, which will make it even more versatile.

For users in India, Google has launched Veo 3 Fast, a version optimized for quicker video generation. It’s available through the Gemini app on both Android and iOS devices.
